Nintendo has announced a HD remaster of the Nintendo Wii‘s Donkey Kong Country Returns during their June 2024 Nintendo Direct. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be released on January 16, 2025, on Nintendo Switch.

The game features local co-op and 80 levels of action-packed platforming, including additional levels from the 3DS version.
Donkey Kong has made his main appearances on the Nintendo Switch previously in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong.
