Square Enix has announced the title and release window for the third and final instalment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy. The game is titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation and will be released on PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC simultaneously in Autumn 2027.

The trailer showcases the new party formed after the events of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, as well as new mechanics such as a job system called FITS, the ability to travel anywhere on the world map thanks to Cid’s Highwind airship, and gameplay of newcomers to the party: Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind.
Most noticeable in the trailer is the recasting of Sephiroth’s voice actor. Game Director Naoki Hamaguchi has confirmed that Travis Willingham will now be voicing the antagonist, replacing Tyler Hoechlin, who was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts.
