Freeplay Angles festival program for 2025 has been revealed. From July 28 to August 3, the conference style event returns with it’s typical gusto for all things indie game making. This year the festivals theme is ‘Universal Constants’ – which explores how love, fortune and death have a presence in every decision an artists has to make even in unprecedented times.
Each day of the conference will center on a different focus from ‘universal constraints’ them, which adds to the hollistic stylings of Freeplay that we come to know and love. There has been a venue change this year, with it now being hosted at the Science Gallery in Carlton, Melbourne. Alongside Angles, events will be running such as the W.I.P. Night and on Saturday after the final day of the conference, there’s the Market event.
You can find the full 3-day conference schedule here.
As an industry event geared towards game developers, this one is less about the cake and more about how it’s made. Weather your a seasoned looking share experiences or a budding game maker eager to explore the craft then Angles is the place to do it.
