PAX Aus may still be some time away, but that doesn’t mean there’s not a slew of announcements rolling out in the lead-up. Each year, the gaming convention has a special storytime speaker who helms a keynote about their experiences in game development. For PAX Aus 2026, Holly Longdale, executive producer on World of Warcraft, will be sharing career highlights and lessons from working in the MMO space.

Longdale joined Blizzard Entertainment in 2020, where she worked on the final phases of World of Warcraft Classic. After almost 20 years in the game industry, having worked with Sony Online Entertainment and Disney Interactive Studios before joining Blizzard Entertainment, I think it’s safe to say this will be an awesome panel to look forward to, even if you aren’t huge on MMOs.
Holly Longdale said the following;
“I’m honoured to be joining PAX Aus to celebrate the power of games and the communities that grow
around them: places where people come together through play, creativity and connection,” said Holly
Longdale, Executive Producer for World of Warcraft. “From World of Warcraft to gaming more
broadly, it’s those communities that shape what we build and I’m looking forward to sharing how we’re
thinking about the future of Warcraft with the same focus on listening, creativity and deep respect for
the players who make Azeroth feel like home.”
While PAX Aus still might be a few months off, it’s exciting to see a lot of teases already. No doubt if you’re a WoW fan, this is definitely exciting news!
PAX Aus 2026 is on October 9 – 11 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Tickets are still available here.
