Bloober Team and Konami have just dropped a Silent Hill 2 Story Trailer, giving us a sneak peek on what to expect from the remake when it launches on October 8, 2024.

Investigating a letter from his late wife, James returns to where they made so many memories – Silent Hill. What he finds is a ghost town, prowled by disturbing monsters and cloaked in deep fog. Confront the monsters, solve puzzles, and search for traces of your wife.
SILENT HILL 2 HANDS-ON IMPRESSIONS
PlayStation’s PlayStation Blog has published a full hands-on report after spending a decent amount of time with the game, spanning from the opening scene to the boss encounter with Pyramid Head.
Sachie Kobari, from PlayStation Japan details some of the changes noticed during the demo, including
- A new, immersive over-the-shoulder perspective.
- More explorable buildings.
- Intense, up-close-and-personal combat.
- earlier enemies in the game are less passive and can counter in between player attacks.
- New puzzles, plus ones that have clever references to the original game.
- The Wood Side Apartment and the Blue Creek Apartment have been renovated, with items, puzzles, and enemy encounters entirely different from the original
- James will seamlessly move between rooms instead of the loading screens in the original
- The Pyramid Head encounter at the end of the apartment has changed, with a slightly larger but more tense location
Silent Hill 2 is coming to PS5 and PC on October 8, 2024.
