Additional Games Coming To Xbox Game Pass In August

Xbox announced the next four weeks of releases overnight and it sure looks like Game Pass owners will have a few treats to check out if they haven’t already.

This week will be headlined by the new release of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is an asymmetrical horror experience based on the true events and subsequent movies that have been released over the past 50 years. Mikey will have his hands tied with this one and Next Play readers will have a detailed review coming early next week.

Also available the week of the 14th of August will see Everspace 2 and Firewatch. Firewatch is a fantastic story-driven experience and if you haven’t yet given it a go, this Xbox Game Pass release is the perfect opportunity.

Rounding out the next two weeks after that will see Sea of Stars (August 29) and Gris (September 4).

With additions, there are unfortunately subtractions. So the following games will be removed soon from the Xbox Game Pass library so make sure to try them out and if you do enjoy them, you are able to purchase them with a 20% discount while still part of the Xbox Game Pass list;

  • Black Desert (Cloud and Console)
  • Commandos 3 – HD Remaster (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Immortality (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Nuclear Throne (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Surgeon Simulator 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Tinykin (Cloud, Console, and PC)
