Nintendo has announced the newest entry into the Mario & Luigi series during their June 2024 Nintendo Direct. Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the first Mario & Luigi game in 9 years, since Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam was released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

“The brothers return for a brand new adventure on the high seas! Set sail with Mario and Luigi on Shipshape Island (part ship, part island) and journey through the vast world of Concordia. Launch out of Shipshape’s cannon to visit, explore, and quest your way through islands that range from tropical rainforests to bustling cities.”
The game follows a string of Mario RPGs on the Nintendo Switch, with Super Mario RPG, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door both being released within the last year.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership will be sailing onto the Nintendo Switch on November 7, 2024.
