This week the PAX Aus team have made some exciting announcements this week, allowing attendees access to some upcoming games before they are released!

Nintendo Is Bringing Super Mario Bros. Wonder to PAX Aus

On top of Nintendo’s Tournaments, Nintendo AUNZ is bringing Super Mario Bros. Wonder to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, two weeks before its release on October 20, 2023. Fans can also shop in-person at the Nintendo booth with My Nintendo Store, with merchandise available to purchase.

SEGA Is Bringing Sonic Superstars And Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

SEGA will be showcasing upcoming titles Sonic Superstars and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name at their booth at PAX Aus.

Sonic Superstars is a side-scrolling platform game similar to the Sonic the Hedgehog games released for the Sega Genesis in the 1990s. Think OG Sonic. Up to 4-players will be able to team up to defeat Doctor Eggman as one of four playable characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, and Amy Rose.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is the newest entry in the Yakuza series which takes place between the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (2016) and Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020). The game is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9, 2023.

More Games Being Showcased At PAX Aus

Melbourne-based Ukiyo Studios will be presenting “SEA What I Made! (SWIM)”, the largest Southeast Asian indie games delegation of its kind to grace Australian shores. A total of 15 titles from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines will feature a variety of game genres from turn-based RPGs to Southeast Asian-inspired Diablo-likes and even restaurant management sims.

PAX Aus Badges are on sale now!

PAX Aus will be taking place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on October 6-8, 2023. 3-day passes and Saturday badges are sold out. Friday and Sunday badges are on sale now.
