Apex Legends has announced that Season 25, titled, ‘Apex Legends: Prodigy’, will introduce new legend Sparrow, and bring the long awaited return of Arenas Mode. Check out the new Prodigy Gameplay Trailer:
SPARROW JOINS THE APEX GAMES
While we still don’t know the extent of Sparrow’s abilities in game, we do know that he is an agile archer. Here’s an excerpt of Sparrow’s story:
“Enea Davide Guarino (you can call him “Sparrow”) was born into the most respected bounty hunter clan in the Outlands known for their unparalleled archery skills and dogmatic moral code. Being raised by such a tightly-wound group made this irreverent rascal the black sheep of his clan. After one particularly reckless choice, it became clear they would never see eye to eye and Enea was shunned from his family.”
Sparrow will be unlocked for all players during the first four weeks of Apex Legends: Prodigy and will be permanantely unlockable during that time upon the completion of challenges, or upon normal means of unlocking legends through the use of in-game currency.
APEX LEGENDS ARENAS MODE RETURNS
Prodigy also brings Arenas mode back as a Limited Time Mode (LTM) after being removed as a permanent mode over 2 years ago at the end of Season 15. This new Arenas LTM will feature some quality of life changes including:
- Shorter matches – first team to win 3 rounds will be crowned Champion.
- Weapons banned in store for a certain duration after being selected by a player.
- Discounts for weapons to entice you to change your loadout.
- Health items will be available at the beginning of rounds to allow for more store purchase options.
During the mid-season update, Arenas LTM will change to a 1v1 variant called “Arenas: Duels”.
