In a crossover I’m sure many wouldn’t of seen coming, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is getting its own taste of the fog. Cult hit Dead By Daylight, known for its asymmetrical hide and chase gameplay is joining the world of AC in a special, themed free quest as well as paid cosmetics. The Assassins Creed Shadows x Dead By Daylight content is available now in the latest Title Update 1.0.5 for the Shadows.
As villagers begin to disappear, Naoe becomes suspicious of the strange presence attacking the local people of Harima. To succeed, you will need to master unique mechanics and confront a formidable otherworldly threat…
The special Dead By Daylight crossover quest is available now for all players with the latest game update. Once you’ve got far enough in the game that you’ve unlocked Yasuke as a playable character you can access the free quest from the hideout. On completion, players will earn a free themed trinket and banner, which can be placed in the hideout.
The Assassin’s Creed Shadows x Dead By Daylight crossover content also includes paid skins, weapons, and trinkets. Both Shadows protagonists have their own DBD killer themed skins – Naoe’s is based off the stealthy killer Spirit while Yasuke receives an imposing Oni skin. Both killers also have their themed weapons. Maurice, a fan-favorite horse from a map variant of Crotus Prenn Asylum even appears in the store. The entire bundle retails for 2300 Helix Credits – $29.95AUD. The DBD pieces are also available separately.

As a long time DBD fan with well over 750 hours of play, the Maurice cosmetic is definitely my favourite. Bringing the horse I’ve seen so many times in matches to life, it feels like the perfect, subtle easter egg outside of the iconic killer skins.
There’s also another collab joining Shadows. Balatro took the world by storm last year – praised endlessly for its roguelike spin on poker that’s oh-so-satisfying. After a free cosmetic update for Balatro featured AC characters, now the follow-up is available for players to find. The quest will see player earning special Balatro themed trinkets that have the chance to trigger random afflictions on combo enders.
Both collabs arrive with Title Update 1.0.5, which also includes parkour improvements, new photo mode features and the usual bug fixes. The preorder DLC quest Thrown to the Dogs has also been unlocked for all players. You can find all the details about the latest title update here.

In our review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we gave the game an 8/10. Featuring one of the strongest stories the series has seen yet, exploring Japan as Naoe and Yasuke certainly holds it’s own in the Ubisoft series.
