Out of nowhere, Nintendo has announced a Splatoon spin-off game titled Splatoon Raiders alongside a Splatoon 3 update which includes Nintendo Switch 2 support.
Watch the trailer:
Splatoon Raiders, which appears to be a more story-focused game than the paint splatting shooter we all know and love, will be launching exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.
While virtually no details of the game has been shared, we do know that players will take on the role of a mechanic and explore the Spirhalite Islands alongside the splat-tacular Deep Cut trio.
Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch 2 Update
A new update for Splatoon 3 will be available on June 12 and will bring with it additional content including new weapons, the return of the Urchin Underpass map, and more. Nintendo Switch 2 owners will be able to make use of the more powerful hardware with more detailed visuals and a smoother appearance of in-game locations.
Nintendo has also confirmed both Switch and Switch 2 players will be able to play Splatoon 3 together.
Splatoon Raiders is coming soon to Nintendo Switch 2.
