The official reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s gameplay took place this morning during gamescom Opening Night Live, which revealed that the campaign mode can be played solo or co-op, plus additional details around multiplayer mode.

Black Ops 7’s Co-Op Campaign can be played solo or with up to four players and will feature returning characters David Mason and Raul Menendez, alongside new character Emma Kagan. The trailer shows that the story will take place across many different locations across the world, including Tokyo, Alaska, Angola, and Avalon, an expansive city whose secrets ripple across the Campaign.
In the culmination of the story, Treyarch and Raven are unleashing Endgame as part of the Co-Op Campaign, where Avalon opens up for players, allowing them to use abilities they’ve mastered across the Campaign.
In terms of Multiplayer mode, it’s been revealed that Black Ops 7 will launch with 16 signature 6v6 Multiplayer maps, including three returning Black Ops 2 classics, as well as two new large-scale maps. A new Multiplayer mode called Skirmish is a new 20v20 mode that blends a variety of objectives with new abilities like wingsuiting and grappling hooks, and intense vehicle warfare into a massive experience.
Zombies mode will continue the Dark Aether story from Black Ops 6 and will be set across a massive set of new locations. Dead Ops Arcade 4 will also be available with a wild new mode, new weapons and new arenas.
