Last night, Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct which offered 40 minutes of news regarding upcoming games coming to the Nintendo Switch console.
Nintendo First-Party Game Announcements
- Wave 2 of the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass is called Side Order and is coming in Autumn 2024. Watch the trailer.
- A remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong is coming to Nintendo Switch on February 16, 2024. Watch the trailer below.
- A new trailer for Super Mario RPG Game showcasing new and returning game mechanics from the original game was released. Available November 17, 2023. Watch the trailer.
- The Princess Peach game teased earlier this year has been confirmed as Princess Peach Showtime!. Peach transforms during the game which switches up gameplay depending on what form she is. The transformations revealed were Sword Fighter Peach, Detective Peach, Pattisiere Peach, Kung Fu Peach, plus more. Released on Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2024.
- An additional showcase trailer featuring story and gameplay for Detective Pikachu Returns was shown. Watch the trailer.
- More details about Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD have been revealed in a new trailer. Creeps onto Nintendo Switch Winter 2024. Watch the trailer.
- New Amiibo have been announced. Zelda and Ganondorf from Tears of the Kingdom will be released on November 3, 2023. Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Noah and Mio will be released as a set on January 19, 2024. The Sora (Kingdom Hearts) Amiibo from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is finally coming in 2024. This is the final Amiibo in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo set.
- A new WarioWare Move It! trailer has been revealed, showcasing new mini-games and a multiplayer mode. Coming to Nintendo Switch November 3, 2023. Watch the trailer below.
- New details for Wave 6 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass have been revealed. Wave 6 will feature the track Daisy Circuit, plus additional characters Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Pauline, and Peachette. Wave 6 will be available this holiday season. Watch the trailer.
- Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, originally released on Nintendo GameCube is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2024 with enhanced graphics. Watch the trailer below.

- Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an RPG by 505 Games and is coming out on Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2024.
- BATTLE CRUSH is a free-to-play beat ’em up multiplayer game. Coming Autumn 2024, with an open beta in October 2023.
- Contra: Operation Galuga is a reimagining of the NES game that is coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2024.
