Rebel Wolves, the studio behind upcoming RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker have showcased gameplay in an extensive 20-minute overview, and its looking phenomenal.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Gameplay Overview
First teased early last year, The Blood of Dawnwalker, is a single-player open-world dark fantasy action-RPG brought to you by Rebel Wolves, comprising of former CD Projekt RED developers including the director of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
Set in 14th-century Europe, the story follows Coen, a young man who has been turned into a Dawnwalker (a vampire). He must use his skills and combine his vampiric strength and human resolve to save the ones he loves.
The gameplay overview features a look at protagonist Coen’s action-packed human and vampire combat, skill tree, the city of Svartrau, and a tough vampire enemy called Boyaress Xanthe. The star of the presentation, though, would have to be the day-night cycle and how that contributes to the many different approaches you can take to complete a quest.
The game is shaping up to be something special, with more to be revealed later this year says Rebel Wolves Design Director, Daniel Sadowski.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is set to be released in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
