Resident Evil requiem has sold 5 million units in just 5 days since its release.
The Resident Evil series, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is showing no signs of slowing down as Capcom announced the sales milestone in a press release on Wednesday.
Forbes.com details how long each Resident Evil title took to reach that milestone, and it seems Requiem could have exceeded Capcom’s expectations when it comes to first-week sales.
- Resident Evil 4 (2023) – 3 months
- Resident Evil Village (2021) – 5 months
- Resident Evil 2 (2019) – 1 year
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017) – 1 year, 5 months
- Resident Evil 3 (2020) – 2 years
The game currently has the highest-rated user score on Metacritic alongside last year’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, with a score of 9.5.
Resident Evil requiem is out now on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC.
