On Friday, The Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 2025 GRAMMYs Awards, which will take place on February 2, 2025.
The awards are the most prestigious in the music industry and aim to recognise outstanding achievements in the music industry. Among the nominations, the award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media has returned for a third year, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök (Stephanie Economou) and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (Stephen Barton, Gordy Haab) winning in 2022 and 2023, respectively. The Recording Academy has defined the award as an “Award to Composer(s) for an original score created specifically for, or as a companion to, video games and other interactive media.”

Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord — Winifred Phillips, composer
This is Bear McCreary’s third consecutive year being nominated in the category, after being recognised for his work in Call of Duty: Vanguard and God of War: Ragnarok in the previous two years. It marks Toprak, Paesano, Roget II, and Phillips’ first GRAMMY nominations ever.
The 2025 GRAMMY Awards, officially known as the 67th GRAMMY Awards, will take place live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb 2, 2025.
