Borderlands has announced what additional content we can expect post-launch for Borderlands 4 for the remainder of the year during their panel at PAX Aus 2025. The post-launch roadmap includes both paid Borderlands 4 DLC and free updates right up until the end of the year before we can expect some juicy Story DLC to drop in Q1 2026.
Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect to keep the mayhem-fueled fun going for months to come:
Bounty Pack 1: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day (Paid DLC)
Launching on November 20, How Rush Saved Mercenary Day launches, the first of four Bounty Packs included in the Bounty Pack Bundle if you own the Deluxe Edition or Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 4. If not, don’t fret, it will be available for separate purchase the same day.
Here’s what its about:
Rush, the affable leader of the Outbounders, is feeling homesick and nostalgic for the holidays he’s cherished in years past. By his calculations, it’s about to be Mercenary Day, a jolly time for gift-giving and gunslinging with friends and family, and he’d like to bring that same festive cheer to the people of Kairos. But his hopes for holiday merriment stand in direct opposition to Screw, the Timekeeper’s Minister of Culture who’s charged with keeping celebrations as bland and homogenous as possible. Across a series of all-new Main Missions, you’ll show Screw the true meaning of Mercenary Day by any means necessary, and maybe score some new Legendary loot in the process.
Mini-Event: Horros of Kairos (Free Content)

Borderlands 4 did not forget about spooky szn! Horrors of Kairos will take place from October 23 to November 6, where world boss encounters change the weather to blood rain. Defeating these bosses gives you a chance at obtaining brand-new Legendary loot including the “Murmur” Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle and “Skully” Legendary Order Grenade.
The Borderlands team will also be sharing some SHiFT codes, so make sure to check out the Borderlands social channels.
New Invincible Boss: Bloomreaper the Invincible

Launching in December as part of a free update, player’s will be able to take on a new challenging foe, Bloomreaper the Invincible. Bloomreaper is the first of many endgame Invincible Bosses coming to Borderlands 4 and will test player’s grit and determination, where only the best Vault Hunters will prevail.
Launching in the same update will be a new challenge for those who have completed the Borderlands 4 campaign called Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, which you can learn more about here.
This is just a slice of what to expect from this roadmap – take a look at the loot drops available during these events plus more information here.
