The Summer Game Fest saw many announcements, including a couple related to Remedy Games’ Alan Wake 2. Sam Lake took to the stage to announce that Alan Wake 2’s Night Springs DLC will be available this weekend on June 8, 2024.
Night Springs is the first of two upcoming DLC expansions for Alan Wake 2. It will involve several self-contained stories featuring characters in the Alan Wake universe, including Control’s Jesse Faden.
Sam Lake also announced that Alan Wake 2 will finally be released physically, with a Deluxe Edition sold by most retailers around the world from October 22, 2024 (we will keep you updated on local retailers). A Collector’s Edition will also be sold by Limited Run Games in a campaign between June 8 and July 21, 2024.
The physical copy of the game includes Alan Wake Remastered, as well as both the Night Springs DLC and the Lake House DLC and the Deluxe Edition cosmetics. This means that The Lake House expansion will be released on or before October 22, 2024.
While we didn’t review Alan Wake 2 at NextPlay, the game won Best Horror Game, Best Game Direction, and Editor’s Choice at The NextPlay Game Awards 2023.
